Running In Oil 20W-50 is a premium mineral, ultra-high zinc (Approx. 3500+ PPM), high protection engine oil, specially formulated for breaking in new, crate or re-manufactured engines.

Application

Running In Oil 20W-50 is designed for high-performance 4, 6 & 8 cylinder, naturally aspirated, turbocharged or supercharged overhead camshaft, push rod, flat tappet and flat head engines. It is designed to allow the piston rings to properly seat in the cylinder for less blow by and better ring sealing for improved engine performance and longevity.

Its ultra-high zinc formulation provides excellent protection for camshafts, flat or roller lifters, roller rockers and requireds no further additives during the break in process.

It is suitable for use in on-road, on-track and off-road application and can be used with petrol, diesel, methanol and high-octane race fuels. Use where SAE 20W-40, 20W-50 or SAE 30 grade engine oils are specified.

Suggested Running In Process

Product can be used on road or for dynamometer running in procedures.

ON ROAD, we recommend the oil be used for approximately 500 Kilometres at varied speeds avoiding full throttle application until the running in process is complete. Post the initial 500 Kilometres, the oil and filter should be changed and the engine re-filled with type of oil that is going to be used going forward.

DYNAMOMETER we recommend running the engine for around 30 minutes at a constant speed of approximately 2000 - 2500 RPM. This should ensure rings and camshaft are properly seated. Post the run in period, the oil and oil filter should be changed to the type that is gong to be used in the engine going forward

Note:when changing oil, Penrite recommend using Penrite Engine Flush, a fast acting, solvent free, engine cleaning formulation that removes engine deposits, sludge and contaminants with the oil service drain. It contains added zinc for engine wear protection and its fast acting formulation works in 10 minute
